About The Role

Part Time (25 hours per week) Domestic Assistant (Scale 2) Required for Adult Social Care – In-House Services.

A committed, hardworking, conscientious Domestic Assistant is required for 28A King Henry’s Walk (KHW) which is a busy short breaks short term Respite Service. We provide a service to people with Disabilities and Complex Needs and their families from diverse backgrounds in Islington.

This role involves supporting service users and staff to maintain a clean, safe and homely environment:

  • Cleaning all parts of the building including Bedrooms, offices, sensory room, wet-rooms, toilets, laundry room, dining room, kitchen, lounge and hallways
  • Ensure COSHH and stock rooms are kept neat and tidy and external cleaning of the building
  • Complete and sign off daily on cleaning schedules as required
  • Responsibility for the safe usage and storage of domestic equipment and cleaning materials and reporting of any defective equipment, furniture etc
  • To comply with all Infection Control guidelines and Confidentiality / Data Protection legislation
  • You will be expected to carry out all duties associated with the job description
  • To undertake relevant training and development and attend meetings, check-in’s etc
  • To be committed to the Council’s core values of public service, quality and equality
