About The Role

At Islington Council, our mission is to work tirelessly for our residents to create a more equal Islington. Our CARE values (Collaborative, Ambitious, Resourceful, and Empowering) guide how we work together to deliver positive outcomes for everyone who lives, works, and visits our beautiful borough.

Our Human Resources team is dedicated to delivering our workforce strategy, ensuring Islington Council is a place where colleagues can learn, progress, and thrive in an inclusive workplace. We believe that when we care about our colleagues, they care about our residents.

About the role:

We are excited to welcome a Learning Designer and Facilitator who will make a significant positive impact on how our residents experience Islington Council. This role, on a two-year fixed term contract, will lead our efforts to enhance customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Deliver: Create, implement, and evaluate a new model of customer experience that aligns with our ambitions and values.
  • Engage and Analyse: Spend time in Islington, getting to know our frontline service colleagues, analysing learning and development needs, and designing effective learning solutions.
  • Shape Culture: Help shape the culture of our resident experience by embedding new ways of working.
What we’re looking for:

  • Experienced and Enthusiastic: Someone passionate about shaping culture and learning, with a proven track record of designing and delivering impactful learning solutions.
  • Positive Difference Maker: A person who loves making a positive difference to customer experience.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Join a kind and supportive team of learning and organisational development colleagues who truly CARE about making Islington Council a great place to work, alongside a wider team of experts and professionals across the council.
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact and help shape the future of Islington Council's resident experience? Apply now to become our Learning Designer and Facilitator and be part of a team that values collaboration, ambition, resourcefulness, and empowerment.
