About The Role

Join our team as an Application Analyst

Are you passionate about technology and eager to make a real impact in the community? We’re looking for a dynamic Application Analyst to join our Digital Applications & Product team at Islington Council. If you’re ready to take on exciting challenges and contribute to a more equal borough, this could be the perfect role for you.

About the role: As an Application Analyst, you’ll play a crucial role in evaluating, implementing, and supporting the software applications that keep our council running smoothly. You’ll work closely with various teams and vendors to ensure our applications meet the needs of our users and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assess and enhance existing software applications to meet business needs.
  • Analyse user requirements and recommend effective solutions.
  • Coordinate the deployment and configuration of software applications.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for application issues.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate applications with other systems.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Skills and experience:

  • Strong understanding of software applications, databases, and operating systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Experience in software testing and quality assurance.

Meet the team: You’ll be joining a dedicated and innovative team committed to improving the experience and outcomes of service users in Islington, supporting applications across a wide variety of services including Parking, Environmental Health, Highways and Waste. We are looking for a good communicator with excellent analytical skills, forward thinking, creative, able to work as part of a team and adapt and respond to changing priorities at very short notice.
