Richard Cloudesley School is a specialist split site school for pupils aged 2 - 19 years who have severe to profound learning disabilities. Many pupils will express themselves through non-verbal means, or at most through using a few words or symbols. Therefore, communication is central to our approach, and key to our provision at Richard Cloudesley School. Some pupils will have additional physical disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions, sensory impairment, complex health needs or mental health difficulties.
Due to the growth of our school, we wish to appoint two teachers who have experience of working with pupils with complex needs and / or autistic spectrum conditions and severe learning difficulties. We will work to the strengths of individual postholders with respect to the pupil cohort(s) they will work with.

Whilst experience in a special school is not essential, you must be adaptable, flexible, motivated, and capable of delivering exciting, fun, and personalized lessons. The successful applicants will also be exceptionally enthusiastic and committed teachers who can motivate our pupils and lead and inspire their class team help children achieve their potential.
